Pretty sure you have to be standing on a roof and looking out into the water. Zoom in and you'll see Arkham Island in the distance. Oh well. Well, you were probably standing on the GCPD building when you scanned the area. If you just scan the general area of the water - as long as you get a good chunk of the Asylum in the shot - you should get the credit anyway.

Try scanning the GCPD building from across the other building. The riddle is rather untypical, as it requires you to scan an area beyond Arkham City, to the east of Amusement Mile to be precise. Get onto the roof of the GCPD building and look for an island visible in the distance.

There should be an airvent just about the elevator doors. Pull it down with the batclaw, then get inside and jump to the bottom, look around for another airvent, batclaw it, and then follow it through back to the morgue area. Descend to street level and enter the sewer grate. Use your new Glue Grenades to open seal off the hot steam vents, allowing passage. Can You See Where the Madness began? This is the last riddle I have to solve for the game, but I'm flying all over Amusement Mile trying to figure out where I need to be in order to scan the correct thing and I'm coming up no solution!

Any help solving this will be greatly appreciated User Info: captfurious Accepted Answer. You have to scan Arkham Island from the first game. If you zoom WAY out on the in-game map, and move the pointer as far North-East as it will go, you will see the riddle.
